Research & Plan

Receiving a life-changing diagnosis can be terrifying, but having confidence in that diagnosis and a treatment plan can make all of the difference. Best Doctors has spent years building a global network of the top physicians in the world to provide in-depth, expert second opinions for patients who want to be certain about the path forward. But Best Doctor’s rigorous process takes time and, in the world of immediate (yet often misleading) answers just a Google search away, they needed a new user experience to keep patients engaged and informed while Best Doctor’s expert physicians work on their cases.

Concept & Test

Working with Best Doctors product, operations and marketing teams, altr concepted a new digital platform designed to make case initiation more intuitive and efficient, providing on-demand transparency into where things were in the process and the actions that patients could take to help them get the best guidance. We then tested a prototype of the new platform with customers in North America, Europe and Australia to refine the concept and inform design.

Design & Deliver

altr partnered with Best Doctors’ in-house technology team to guide development of the new patient experience, providing updates to the design as the team got continued feedback from customers. At launch, the new patient platform was designed to be the hub for Best Doctors’ growing, international suite of services for people in search of expert medical guidance.

They take the time to find out how to deliver the best possible product for the client.
